For Let’s Draw Sherlock! (also a contribution to Red Pants Monday)
So, what if John’s tan did extend above his wrists? Ha! Anyway, yes, this is a digital painting of John Watson (with his bulldog, Gladstone - sadly absent from the show) based on the Coppertone Girl from the original 50s ad. Deepest apologies to Martin Freeman… Well, I’ll probably leave this looking like a WIP, because damn his legs! (MY ART TAG)
This is the current state of the galaxy.
And I won… barely. At least in my opinion. I was very weak on my border with teal near the end just scrapping by to get his last few territories. I even miscalculated in the picture below and lost all 54 of those ships on the left side. (I split them up when I shouldn’t have).
Red cleared out basically all the territory Teal took from Green by the end. And his only move left at that point was to attack me because there was no one else left to attack.
But my foresight had worked out perfectly. I attacked yellow (who was afk for the first day or two of this combat) and taken enough territory that despite his best effort I would win before Red could even reach me now that it was time to fight him.
Teal had gathered hundreds of ship and started counter attacking just when I had run out of steam. I saw that he had nearly nothing so I diverted my ships to attack yellow and then he struck back with almost 1000 ships. I had about 600 on their way but I wouldn’t have been able to finish him off, I just took as many territories as possible to win the game.
Overall a very fun game that took entirely too much of my life for something that only updates once an hour. Watching the strategy and planning come to fruition (and sometimes be expertly countered) is quite the thrill.
